Tech bloggers in China have revealed that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, will measure 11.2mm when folded. When unfolded, the device will measure 5.2mm. The weight of the device is said to be 236 grams.

On the other hand, the Vivo X-Fold 3 is expected to debut as the lightest device in the history of foldable phones. The device is said to weigh only 219 grams, making it lighter than the iPhone 15 Pro Max (221 grams) and the Galaxy S24 Ultra (232 grams).

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered foldable phone is said to have a slim profile of 4.65mm in its unfolded state. Hence, it appears that it will be slimmer than the Vivo X5 Max, which currently stands as the thinnest smartphone in the world with a measurement of 5.1mm. In its folded state, the device is said to measure 10.2mm.

At present, the Honor Magic V2 is the thinnest and lightest device when it comes to foldable phones with a horizontally foldable design. Announced in July 2023, the V2 measures 4.7mm in the unfolded state and 9.9mm in the folded state. It weighs only 231 grams.
