Huawei has officially launched the Band 9, the latest iteration of its popular fitness tracker line.  Building on the established design of its predecessor, the Band 9 delivers the core features users have come to rely on in a wearable fitness device. Let’s delve into the specifics here.

Huawei Band 9 Specifications

The Huawei Band 9 retains the practical rectangular form factor of its predecessor with a rounded display and a convenient side button. It’s also quite lightweight and slim at just 14 grams and a slim 8.9mm.

It has a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen for interactions and is waterproof up to 5ATM. Huawei is offering five color choices for the Band 9.

You can get it in Electric Blue, Light Pink, Lemon Yellow, Sand White, and Stellar Black. Additionally, Huawei says the Band 9 has an improved soft fluoroelastomer strap which is more skin-friendly, while there is a woven nylon strap for the blue edition.

For health and wellness enthusiasts, there are over 100 sports modes available on the Band 9. Additionally, the Huawei TruSleep 4.0 feature promises comprehensive sleep tracking, providing users with detailed data on sleep stages, and efficiency.

Huawei claims a maximum battery life of 14 days under typical use and 9 days under maximum use. Charging the tracker is swift enough as a quick 45-minute charge fully refills the battery.

The device uses Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity and is compatible with both Android phones (Android 9.0 and higher) and iPhones (iOS 11 and later).  You can view all your health metrics and stats in the Huawei Health app.

Huawei has started pre-sales of the Band 9 in Malaysia, but the official pricing detail has yet to be revealed.  We can expect the company to reveal pricing details soon.
