Sony India has officially unveiled the PlayStation 5 Slim. The PS5 Slim variant went on sale in the US back in November 2023, and it has finally hit the Indian market. So here’s everything you need to know regarding its pricing and availability.
Sony PS5 Slim India Pricing & Availability
The highly anticipated PlayStation 5 Slim (CFI-2000 model) carries a 54,990 INR price tag. This is for the base variant that includes a disc drive. On the other hand, the PS5 Slim Digital Edition is a cheaper variant that costs just 44,990 INR. Both versions will be officially available for purchase starting from 5th April 2024. The gaming console can be purchased from leading retailers across the country.

For those unaware, the Sony PS5 Slim is a thinner and more compact version of the standard PS5, which features a detachable disc drive. Overall, the Slim variant arrives with a 30 percent reduction in volume and up to 24 percent reduction in weight as well. But apart from just a refreshed design, the storage is also bumped up to 1TB with a second USB-C port in the front.
Despite the smaller form factor, the PS5 Slim doesn’t compromise on performance, offering similar hardware to match the base PS5. Interestingly, the Japanese tech giant’s latest console arrives in a sole White color option, but new variants could arrive in India soon. The PS5 Slim was introduced in three new colors earlier this year, namely Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver, as a part of the Deep Earth collection. So the Indian release could follow soon.
