Next-gen Oppo Reno series smartphones are reportedly in the works. These devices were recently spotted in certain rumors and reports. Now, a fresh leak has revealed the supposed launch timeline for the Reno 12 series. So here’s everything you need to know.
Oppo Reno 12 Series could launch next work
The Chinese tech giant is apparently planning on releasing the Reno 12 series in May 2024. The latest leak arrives from known tipster from Weibo. Smart Pikachu claimed that the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pros may launch next month. The second tipster further added that the smartphones were benchmarked against Honor branded devices. This could be the upcoming Honor 200 series, which may feature similar pricing and specs as the Reno 12 models.
The Honor 200 series is expected to launch soon and could be arriving in May as well. The Reno 12 Pro was recently spotted in a leak. It is expected to sport a tall 6.7-inch display that offers 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. A large 5,000mAh battery pack could power the Dimensity 9200 SoC under the hood and it may support 80W wired fast charging.
The Reno 12 series may arrive with AI related features and offer a periscope telephoto camera for better zoom shots. Meanwhile, the primary camera is rumored to be a Sony sensor. The Reno 12 offers a 50-megapixel dual camera setup, while the front offers a 50-megapixel selfie shooter. This base variant may offer a 5,000mAh battery pack as well, but with 67W wired fast charging.
