Oppo has launched the Oppo A3 Pro, a mid-range smartphone, in China. What’s interesting about this phone is that it is the first mainstream smartphone in recent times to pass IP69, IP68, and IP66 certification. The company claims that it is a fully waterproof smartphone that can withstand hot water, soaking water, and strong water spray. The device is equipped with Oppo’s Crystal Glass protection on the front and back. Furthermore, it is the first smartphone to receive Swiss SGS Gold Label 5-start drop resistance certification, and it has also passed a national military standard impact resistance test in China. The Oppo A3 Pro houses a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 950 nits of brightness. It has an in-screen fingerprint sensor for added security. The phone comes with ColorOS 14-based Android 14.
The A3 Pro has the Dimensity 7050 chipset onboard. The mid-range phone is equipped with 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 12 GB of virtual RAM, and 256 GB / 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
The Oppo A3 Pro has an 8-megapixel camera on the front. On the back, it has a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. While the front camera supports up to 30fps FHD video shooting, the primary camera on the back supports up to 30fps 4K video recording. In addition, the device offers other specs, such as dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB-C port.
Oppo A3 Pro price
The Oppo A3 Pro has been introduced in China in three options, such as 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. These variants are priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$275), 2,199 Yuan (~$300), and 2,499 Yuan (~$345). It comes in shades, such as Azure (glass back), Mountain Blue (leather back), and Yunjin Pink (leather back). There is no word on whether it will be released on the global market.
