Redmi is gearing up to introduce a bunch of smart products to the Indian market on April 23, 2024, as part of its “Smarter Living 2024” event. The brand has now confirmed that among these launches will be the Redmi Pad SE, a tablet that is already available in China and the global market.
Redmi Pad SE specs:
The Redmi Pad SE features a sturdy metal unibody design, measuring 7.36mm in thickness and weighing 478g. It boasts an 11-inch display with an impressive 84.4% screen-to-body ratio, offering a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, 207 PPI, and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The display supports up to 400 nits peak brightness, a responsive 180Hz touch sampling rate, and stylus input.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. The tablet runs on MIUI 14 for Pad based on Android 13.
The Redmi Pad SE is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. It also features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot for expandable storage.
For connectivity, it offers dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. The tablet is backed by an 8,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging via USB Type-C.
Pricing & availability
Pricing for the Indian market hasn’t been disclosed yet. However, based on its $229 price tag in the global market, it’s expected to be priced around ₹19,000 to ₹20,000 in India.
