Xiaomi has expanded its accessory portfolio with a new Bluetooth speaker, called the Xiaomi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker Camp Edition.
As the name implies, this speaker is tailored for outdoor use, featuring a rugged design and an enduring battery life. Let’s delve into its features.
Xiaomi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker Camp Edition Specifications
The speaker has a sturdy rectangular design complete with a convenient carrying handle.
Despite its rugged build, it maintains a compact size, measuring just 125 x 85 x 146.7 mm (L x W x H) and weighing in at a manageable 1.12 kg. Adding to its appeal, the speaker has a stylish metal texture grille on all sides.
The speaker delivers a robust 40 watts of total output, powered by six speakers. t features two tweeters, two mid-bass speakers, and two passive radiators which Xiaomi says deliver 360-degree omnidirectional sound output.
Xiaomi has also partnered with Harman AudioEFX to ensure the speaker reproduces audio with clarity and detail, making it ideal for enjoying music at home or during outdoor adventures.
Designed for outdoor adventures, the speaker features IP66 certification for protection against dust and water. The speaker uses Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity. While there’s also support for NFC for quick and effortless connection.
Additionally, it supports the LHDC 5.0 codec, which allows for high-fidelity audio transmission over Bluetooth. The speaker has also LED light strips on the bottom for nighttime use.
Moreover, Xiaomi says the speaker has a battery life of 14 hours, and interestingly, it can be charged within the Xiaomi SU7 storage compartment. Although it cannot be used in this mode, as it automatically shuts down upon insertion, the pinpoints inside the compartment charge the speaker.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker Camp Edition is currently available in China for 699 Yuan (~ $100). You can purchase it from Xiaomi’s official website in the country. Xiaomi has yet to announce an international release date for the speaker.
