AYANEO has released the Pocket S gaming handheld after it was opened for pre-order a few months back. The AYANEO Pocket S is powered by the Snapdragon G3X Gen 2 processor and comes with some impressive performance ratings.
Features
The Pocket S is the first gaming handheld to debut the Snapdragon G3X Gen 2 chipset and it outperforms all earlier handhelds with the Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 processor. Some of these Android handhelds are the Razer Edge and AYN Odin2.
The AYANEO Pocket S expectedly comes with a 1440p display for greater video output. There is also a 1080p option which is cheaper than the 1040p display model. Both displays are six inches in size and utilize IPS technology. The two Pocket S options have different Pixel density with the standard model having 368PPI while the 1040p version is 490PPI. Both options have a 100% sRGB color gamut coverage as well as 85% DCI-P3 color space coverage.
The maximum brightness of the AYANEO Pocket S is 400 nits and all the variants have the same hardware architecture. The battery capacity of the gaming handheld is 6,000mAh while the model also features the AYANEO vapor chamber and active air cooling system. The RAM capacity of the entry-level option is 128GB and it comes with UFS 3.1 storage. The other configurations of the Pocket S have faster UFS 4.0 storage.
Pricing & Availability
The entry-level version of the AYANEO Pocket S with a 1080p display and 128GB RAM is priced at $399. The 1440p display option of the flagship gaming handheld is priced at $439 with 128GB of RAM. The earliest shipments of the AYANEO Pocket S will be in May 2024.
