Vivo has launched a new Y36t smartphone targeted at customers looking for a budget-range device. The device has debuted on the Chinese e-commerce website Jingdong.

In terms of design, the Y36t offers two color options: space black and sapphire green. It features a 6.56-inch LCD waterdrop screen with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels and supports a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

The Vivo Y36t is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, which includes a dual-core setup at 2.0GHz and a hexa-core configuration at 1.8GHz. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC5.1 storage. Additionally, the device houses a large 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging capability.
The device is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera that includes features like 4x digital zoom and a 5-megapixel front camera that supports facial recognition for unlocking the phone.
Additional features of the Y36t include a 150% loud volume mode, IP54 certification for dust and water resistance, and it runs on the Android 14-based OriginOS 4 system.
Pricing & availability
As mentioned above, the Vivo Y36t is available in China via Jingdong at an initial discounted price of 749 yuan ($105). After the discount period, it will cost 799 yuan ($112).
