In the world of photography, everyone should be loving to use a long-range zoom lens. Unlike prime lenses with fixed focal lengths, zoom lenses offer incredible versatility. However, zoom lenses have a common issue and that is the narrow aperture.
Sigma has introduced the world’s first f/1.8 full-frame zoom lens. Typically, zoom lenses have an aperture of f/2.8 or narrower, resulting in less light getting into the lens and producing darker images. Sigma had previously announced their plan to release the f/1.8 28-45mm zoom lens, and we covered this in an earlier article. This new lens is now available for purchase in China.

Sigma’s new full-frame 28-45mm f/1.8 zoom lens supports Leica L-mount and Sony E-mount. The lens weighs 960 grams and has a minimum focus distance of 30 cm. It is priced at 9797 Chinese Yuan, approximately $1350 USD. You can read our previously released article to learn more about Sigma’s new full frame Sigma 28-45mm zoom lens.
