Xiaomi has launched the Watch S4 Sport in Lei Jun’s 2024 annual speech event. The Watch S4 Sport supports professional lactate threshold tests. Through the test, the user’s aerobic endurance peak strength can be monitored, which helps effectively improve the endurance level according to the measured heart rate and pace training. The feature is backed by the sports algorithm provided by Suunto, a watchmaker.

In addition, the product is also equipped with watch route navigation, which supports tracking returns, straight-line returns, and deviation reminders. The official poster shows that the Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport has a round dial and is available in black and orange. The rotating crown on the right side of the case is clearly visible. This product is positioned as a professional smartwatch.

Not to mention, this is a premium watch that comes with a price tag of 2,000 Yuan (equivalent to $275 or €250). It has a titanium body and sapphire glass. Users can choose between four straps: fluoroelastomer, silicone, braided, and titanium Milanese. The heart rate and blood-oxygen sensor on the back are also protected by sapphire glass. According to the company, the sensor achieves 97.2% accuracy.

The Watch S4 Sport comes with EN13319 diving certification, which means users can go diving down to 40m (130ft) with this product. Users also get offline map capability (thanks to the eSIM) which allows them to leave their phone at home. Interestingly, the NFC support also enables it to work as a car key.

There is a 1.43” OLED display with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits for outdoor readability. The product packs a large 586mAh battery inside, which is advertised to offer a battery life of 15 days. For context, the Watch S3 equips a 486mAh battery.
