As leaks about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 keep rolling in, Qualcomm has just announced the date for their upcoming Snapdragon Summit. A recent post on a Chinese tech blog revealed that Qualcomm’s next Snapdragon Summit will be held on October 21.
Snapdragon Summit on October 21, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is underway
Newly surfaced images show that Qualcomm hasn’t directly announced the launch date of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 actually. However, the next Snapdragon Summit will take place in Hawaii from October 21 to October 23, and we believe Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be unveiled during this event. This new chipset is highly anticipated since it will be manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process. Previous leaks suggest that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 scores around 10,000 in Geekbench multi-core CPU performance test, putting it kind of on par with the Apple M3 processor.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will feature Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU, which promises to greatly enhance the mobile gaming experience. Another thing we know is Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s prime core will run at 4.2 GHz. Xiaomi 15 series might be the first smartphone lineup to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
