Nubia‘s gaming-focused sub-brand Red Magic has introduced a new tablet with a twist. The Red Magic Tablet 3D Explorer Edition, showcased at the 2024 Snapdragon Game Technology Awards, offers a unique selling point: a 3D display that doesn’t require special glasses.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, the tablet utilizes “Super Perception AI 3D Display Technology” to create a three-dimensional viewing experience. It’s compatible with a wide range of apps and even allows users to convert 2D content into 3D with a single click.

Beyond the 3D capabilities, the tablet offers a suite of gaming-centric features including AI-powered tools for navigation, audio, and gameplay enhancement. There’s even a virtual assistant named Red Magic Princess Mora.
This is not the first 3D tablet coming out of the Nubia camp as the brand has already launched the Nubia Pad 3D II tablet earlier this year which also features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and AI features. It is currently unknown if the Red Magic Tablet 3D Explorer Edition is a unique device or a rebrand of the Nubia Pad 3D II. More details are expected to surface in the coming days.
In other news, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Pad Pro 5G will be launching in India on July 29. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G features a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits brightness, powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. It offers 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage, expandable up to 1.5TB.
