Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series in early September, possibly on September 10. Foxconn has now started the mass production of the iPhone 16 series devices. According to a report, one of Foxconn’s factories in China has started recruiting on a large scale to ramp up its production capacity.

According to previous reports, Apple is very optimistic about the shipment volume of the iPhone 16 series. The shipment target has increased by more than 10% compared to the iPhone 15 series and is expected to be more than 90 million units.
Reportedly, the components of the iPhone 16 series had entered mass production in advance to ensure the supply for the assembly process. Among the components, the display panels entered mass production back in June and were produced in sufficient quantity to ensure the launch in September. Notably, Samsung Display and LG Display are manufacturing OLED displays for the iPhone 16 series. By the end of 2024, Samsung and LG are expected to supply roughly 80 million and 43 million panels to Apple respectively.
According to previous rumors, the iPhone 16 series will come with even thinner bezels than last year’s models. The Pro models are also expected to pack bigger displays than the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. It was rumored that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will equip 6.3″ (upgraded from 6.1″) and 6.9″ (upgraded from 6.7″) panels respectively. However, the non-pro models are expected to come with 6.1″ and 6.7″ respectively, which is the same as the non-pro iPhone 15 models.
