HMD recently released the Crest and Crest Max smartphones in India, and it is also working on other smartphones like the HMD Barbie phone. In addition to that, tipster @smashx_60 on X (formerly Twitter) has revealed some details about another upcoming smartphone called the HMD Hyper.

HMD Hyper

Looks-wise, the smartphone is quite similar to the Nokia Lumia-inspired HMD Skyline, which debuted last month. It has a flat display with large bezels and curved sides. The display will use an OLED panel, providing FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is also said to come with a MicroSD card slot to expand storage.

For optics, the device is said to come with a 50 MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, paired with a 13 MP camera and an 8 MP camera. The tipster also claims that the device will have a 50 MP selfie camera capable of FHD video recording at 60FPS. The primary camera will allow for up to 4K video recording at 30FPS. It is also said to feature a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

As per these details, the HMD Hyper will likely be a toned-down version of the HMD Skyline which features a 144Hz OLED display, with a 108MP primary camera and 50MP telephoto lens. The HMD Skyline also houses a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. The launch date of the HMD Hyper is still under wraps.
