Remember the sunshine-yellow HMD Hyper leak from last month? Well, prolific leaker @smashx_60 on X.com is back with a fresh batch of renders showing the upcoming midrange in its full-color palette, alongside some spec clarifications.
The phone’s design largely mirrors the recently launched HMD Skyline with a blend of curves and sharp edges. But the new leak throws out three additional color options for consideration.
Alongside the previously leaked yellow, we can now see the HMD Hyper in teal, red, and more subdued gray variants. The renders suggest a metal frame sandwiching a glass back.

On the front, the phone will house a generous 6.55-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera is tipped to be a 50MP sensor with autofocus and FHD video recording support.
Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. It will be paired with 8GB of RAM and the storage option is expected to be 256GB, thankfully expandable via a microSD card slot.
The back’s triple-camera system is said to feature a 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), alongside a 13MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultrawide sensor.

Rounding out the leaked specs, the HMD Hyper is expected to pack a decent-sized 4,700mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It’ll also boast basic water resistance with an IP54 rating, stereo speakers for multimedia, Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi 5 for internet access, and NFC for contactless payments.
HMD hasn’t confirmed the existence of Hyper yet, but @smashx_60 is a reliable source for HMD and Nokia news, so we can reasonably trust this leak. We’ll now need to wait for an official announcement to learn about the price and release date.
