Lenovo is expanding its Chromebook lineup with the new Chromebook Duet and Chromebook Duet EDU G2 laptops. Just recently, the brand released the Legion G7 gaming smartphone and tablets in China, and now, it has released two convertible Chromebook models in the US that have an affordable price tag. So here’s what you need to know about its specs, pricing, and more.
Lenovo Chromebook Duet Series: What makes them special?
Both the laptops are quite similar in terms of specs and features, but there are some small differences. Lenovo unveiled the Chromebook Duet series with a 10.95inch WUXGA display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 nits of peak brightness, TUV Low Blue light certification, and Corning Gorilla 3 for protection. Under the hood, the duo are equipped with the MediaTek Kompanio 838 SoC, which is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage.

As the name suggests, these laptops run on the ChromeOS out of the box and promise to offer up to 12 hours of battery life. These are thin and light notebooks that measure just 510 grams in weight, measuring just 7.59mm in thickness in tablet form. Although, you would likely use this laptop with the Folio keyboard and Stand Cover.
For optics, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet and Duet EDU G2 models feature a 5-megapixel webcam and an 8-megapixel rear facing camera. Other notable features include a dual 1W SmartAMP speaker setup tuned by Waves Audio, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB Type C 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a single audio/microphone combo jack.
Pricing and Availability
The company unveiled the Chromebook Duet and Chromebook Duet EDU G2 with ENERGY STAR certification and it arrives with 3 months of free subscription to Gemini Advanced. It is currently available in North America for a starting price tag of 339.99 US Dollars and 319 US Dollars respectively. Both models are on sale for a lone Luna Grey color option.
