Honor is gradually revealing details about its upcoming Magic 7 smartphone. The company recently confirmed the device will launch on October 30th in China. In a live stream now, CEO Zhao Ming officially gave us a sneak peek at the phone’s design and even highlighted some of its features.

Honor Magic 7 Design

The Magic 7 seems to be embracing the trend of slimmer bezels. As we can see, the phone has a clean look with slim bezels on all sides and a quad-curved design, like its predecessor

There’s also a familiar pill-shaped cutout on the top, likely for the selfie camera and a 3D face recognition system.

The CEO flipped the phone to show the back, but the hard case kept the design under wraps. However, two diagonally arranged lens openings, an LED flash, and an additional opening—likely for laser autofocus—were visible. We’ll have to wait for more teasers to get a full view of the back.

More intuitive AI Agent

On the software side, Zhao demonstrated the progress of Honor’s AI Agent, their smart voice assistant. It looks like the assistant has grown more intuitive, and capable of handling various tasks with simple voice commands.

During the demo, Zhao uttered “Order three cups of American coffee,” and the phone seamlessly searched for the item and and completed the order within minutes. Users only need to confirm and pay – the assistant takes care of the rest.

These are just a few highlights of what the Magic 7 might offer. With the launch date set for October 30th, we can expect Honor to unveil more features and functionalities in the coming days.

Stay tuned for the full reveal, where we’ll learn everything about the Magic 7, including the back design, camera specifications, and the full potential of the improved voice assistant.
