OnePlus launched the Ace 3 Pro in June this year, and the company is already working on the Ace 5 series. In the latest news, prominent tipster Digital Chat Station revealed some key specifications of the Pro model.

According to the tipster, the phone boasts a 1.5K BOE X2 flat AMOLED display. The use of a flat-screen also suggests a flat design similar to the upcoming Oppo flagships. However, the display size remains unknown.

Although he didn’t specify the name of the device himself, the use of SM8750 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip paired with the other specifications suggests it to be the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and Ace 3 were launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 2 chips respectively. So the Ace 5 Pro should be the one to pack this year’s year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.

The alleged Ace 5 Pro is also rumored to follow the new trend of packing a large capacity silicon-carbon anode battery and boasts a capacity that begins with 6, up from the 5500mAh of the Ace 3 Pro. He previously mentioned the use of a 6300-6500mAh battery on the device, which supports 100W fast charging.

As for the cameras, the phone is expected to use the 50MP IMX 906 as the main sensor, ISOCELL JN1 as the telephoto, and the same image processing algorithm as the Find X8 series. For those unfamiliar, IMX906 has a 50MP resolution and a sensor size of 1/1.56″. The telephoto sensor also has a 50MP resolution and measures 1/2.76″. Unfortunately, he didn’t reveal the zoom level of the telephoto camera.

The speculated Ace 5 (or OnePlus 13R for the global market) previously surfaced on thermal imaging results of a Genshin Impact gameplay test confirming the development of the prototype model. Both phones are also expected to ship with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, which brings a number of visual improvements along with some AI features.
