Weighing 5 grams each, the earbuds are rated IP54 for dust and water resistance. They support Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth Multipoint, allowing connection to two devices at once. The battery lasts up to 6 hours on a single charge, with an extra 18 hours from the charging case, which takes 2 hours to fully charge via USB-C. The earbuds come in black with a textured surface and include a physical button for controlling playback, calls, and voice assistants.

Pricing & availability

The Amazfit Up is priced at $49.99/£44.90/€49.90. Until October 27, customers in select markets can get the earbuds for free when buying an Amazfit Balance or T-Rex 3 smartwatch.

In other news, Nothing has also recently launched its open-ear style earbuds called the Nothing Ear (Open). The earbuds come with a curved headband for a secure fit and the brand’s signature transparent design. They are IP54-rated for dust and splash resistance and include 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers with a ‘Bass Enhance’ algorithm. The earbuds offer AI-powered Clear Voice 3.0 for clear calls, a Sound Seal System to prevent audio leakage, and Bluetooth 5.3 with dual-device connectivity.
