Qualcomm just unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite while MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9400. Both of these are high end chips that will power new flagship smartphones. Brands have already started teasing their next gen premium phones for the global and Chinese markets. So now, here’s a timeline for when these devices will be released in India.
1. OnePlus 13
OnePlus recently teased the OnePlus 13 with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite. The upcoming premium phone is set to launch in China first on 31st October 2024. While an official global launch date for this device is still unknown, known tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the Indian release is set for around January 2024.
2. Realme GT 7 Pro
Unlike most devices on this list, Realme has confirmed that it will be launching the Realme GT 7 Pro in India. In other words, the Realme GT 7 Pro will be the first Snapdragon 8 Elite powered smartphone to launch in the region. The phone is set to launch in China on November 4, while the global release (including the Indian launch) is also set for sometime in November. Unfortunately, an official launch date is still unclear.
3. Vivo X200 Series
Vivo officially unveiled the X200 series in its home market of China earlier this month. The brand hasn’t confirmed the Indian launch timeline yet, but the Vivo X200 lineup is rumored to arrive in India around the second week of December 2024.
4. Oppo Find X8 Series
Oppo is gearing up to launch the Find X8 series in China on 24th October 2024, which is tomorrow. However, a report from earlier this month leaked the Indian launch timeline and storage options of the Find X8 series. The brand is expected to launch the Find X8 series in India after Diwali (October 31), so it will likely be unveiled next month.
5. iQOO 13
iQOO was one of the first to announce the launch date for its new flagship smartphone. The iQOO 13 will go official in China on 30th October 2024, while an Indian release was teased for 3rd December 2024. It was previously rumored for December 5, but the launch in India is earlier than expected.
6. Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series is one of the most anticipated flagship launches. The company hasn’t officially announced the launch date for the Galaxy S25 lineup, but it will likely follow its typical release schedule. So the new flagship Galaxy phones would launch in India in January 2025.
7. Xiaomi 15
Last but not least, we have the Xiaomi 15. While its Chinese announcement kicks off today, the Indian launch will likely be beyond January 2025. The Xiaomi 14 was released in India in March, so we can expect a similar window for launch. The brand will launch the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro in China, but only the base model may arrive in India like last time.
