Samsung could be planning a massive new change for its next generation of flagship smartphones. But this time, it’s not with new specs or designs but a complete rebranding of its name. New rumors have hinted at the company dropping the ‘Galaxy’ branding in the Galaxy S25 series. So here’s what we know so far.
Samsung S25 Series: Is this the End for ‘Galaxy’?
The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming flagship phones have already been spotted in various leaks and reports. But it seems that the branding for the flagship phones are seeing a big change. There has been no official confirmation of this from Samsung. Although, even Known tipster Ishan Agarwal stated that the ‘rumor mill’ has pointed at Samsung losing the ‘Galaxy’ branding.

Despite these rumors, the official Samsung Newsroom has referred to the new flagship smartphones as the Galaxy S25 series multiple times so far. So if this news is true, then it is likely one of those last minute changes. Meaning, the company could soon launch the Samsung S25, Samsung S25+, and Samsung S25 Ultra. Later on, it may even release the Samsung S25 FE as a budget flagship phone offering. Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 FE could be positioned as a ‘Slim’ device.
Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report. So take this news with a pinch of salt for now and stick around for more updates regarding this matter. In related news, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a brighter display while the entire lineup is tipped to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Recently, the dimensions of the Galaxy S25 series were revealed and the S25 Ultra was rumored to arrive in four color options, namely lack, green, blue, and “titanium.”
