Xiaomi‘s budget-friendly gaming monitor, the G24i, is now available for purchase in Europe, the UK, and the US, following its initial unveiling in September. While details of the monitor’s specifications were released earlier, pricing remained unconfirmed until its recent launch.
Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G24i Specifications
The G24i features a compact 23.8-inch IPS panel with a Full HD (1920×1080) resolution. The display offers wide viewing angles of 178 degrees (horizontal and vertical) and boasts a peak brightness of 250 nits. It also has TÜV Low Blue Light certification to reduce eye strain during long periods of use.
Gamers can expect a typical 1,000:1 contrast ratio for decent image depth. Color reproduction is also addressed with 99% sRGB coverage, catering to basic content creation needs.

Performance-wise, the G24i prioritizes smooth visuals for fast-paced gameplay. It boasts a 180Hz refresh rate, a significant upgrade over standard 60Hz displays, resulting in noticeably reduced motion blur.
This is further complemented by a 1ms GtG (Gray to Gray) response time to minimize ghosting and trailing effects often encountered in rapid movements. For graphics card compatibility, the monitor supports AMD’s FreeSync technology for tear-free visuals during gameplay.
Connectivity options remain relatively basic. The G24i provides a single DisplayPort and a single HDMI port for connecting to PCs or gaming consoles. While this might limit options for multi-monitor setups, it aligns with the monitor’s budget-conscious design.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi G24i is currently available for purchase directly from Xiaomi for £89.99 in the UK and €119.99 in the Eurozone. In the US, the monitor can be found on Amazon for $129.99. With its attractive price point and focus on refresh rate and response time, the G24i could be a compelling option for budget-minded gamers seeking a smooth gaming experience.
