Redmi is reportedly working on the Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro smartphones for the Chinese market. Since the Turbo 3 was rebranded as the Poco F6 globally, some reports claim that the Turbo 4 will be rebadged as the Poco F7 in the global market. However, a new leak, courtesy of tipster Experience More, clears up the confusion surrounding the rebranding of the Turbo 4 series. Additionally, the leaker also shared the key specs of the Turbo 4.

The rebranding game

Last year, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K70e and later released the Redmi Turbo 3 in April this year. The company has no plans to launch the Redmi K80e this year. Instead, the Redmi K70e will be succeeded by the Redmi Turbo 4. The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which is expected to debut in April 2025, will be a successor to the Turbo 3.

Redmi phones are often rebranded as Poco phones globally. The K70e and Turbo 3 were rebranded as the Poco X6 Pro and Poco F6. In the same way, the Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro are expected to be rebadged as the Poco X7 Pro and the Poco F7, respectively, in the global market. Here’s a look at what to expect from the Redmi Turbo 4 / Poco X7 Pro.

According to the tipster, the Redmi Turbo 4 / Poco X7 Pro will feature a 6.67-inch LTPS OLED panel with a flat design. It will offer a 1.5K resolution and possibly a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen will come integrated with a short-focus in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device is expected to ship with HyperOS 2.0-based Android 15.

MediaTek is all set to announce the Dimensity 8400 chip on Dec. 23 in China. A slightly customized version of the chip dubbed the Dimensity 8400-Ultra will power the Redmi Turbo 4 / Poco X7 Pro. Like the predecessor models, the Turbo 4 / X7 Pro may ship with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

The Turbo 4 / X7 Pro may pack a 6,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. Lastly, the leaker claims that the device will be equipped with a plastic middle frame and a glass back. As far as the launch is concerned, the device is likely to debut by early January 2025 in China.

As for the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, reports claim it will be one of the first phones to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro and iQOO Z10 Turbo are some of the other phones that are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Elite SoC.
