Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to launch a new device with impressive battery and charging capabilities. According to popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the device features a dual-cell battery design with a combined rated capacity of 5,900mAh.
This setup is equivalent to a massive 12,000mAh single-cell battery, offering long-lasting power. Additionally, the device supports 120W fast charging, a feature that allows for significantly faster charging times compared to previous models.

Xiaomi’s Next Tablet: 12,000mAh Battery and 120W Charging
The exact model remains unconfirmed, but the device is speculated to be a new tablet. Earlier rumors suggested that Xiaomi might launch an OLED tablet in 2025, featuring an 11-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a top-tier Snapdragon processor, up to 24GB of RAM, and 120W fast charging. The design is expected to resemble the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. While it’s possible this could be the rumored OLED tablet, nothing is certain yet, so take this information with a grain of salt.

The tipster also clarified that this tablet isn’t part of Xiaomi’s Redmi lineup and is expected to be priced around 4,000 yuan ($548). For reference, the current-generation Pad 7 Pro’s top variant (12GB + 512GB) is priced at 3,499 yuan ($479), indicating this new tablet could cater to the premium segment, competing directly with iPads.
Xiaomi unveiled the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro alongside the Xiaomi 15 series in China in October. Both tablets feature an 11.2-inch 3K 144Hz anti-glare LCD screen with advanced eye protection and a paper-like texture for stylus use. The Pad 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro version uses a faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
They run Xiaomi HyperOS 2, support PC-level multitasking, and include features like a floating keyboard with stepless adjustment and backlighting. The Pad 7 has a 13MP rear and 8MP front camera, while the Pro boasts a 50MP rear and 32MP front camera. Both models support Wi-Fi 7, Dolby Atmos, and fast charging, with the Pad 7 offering 45W and the Pro 67W charging capabilities. The Pad 7 series is also expected to land in India soon.
