Google is reportedly working on the Pixel 9a, a mid-range phone. Recent reports have revealed a lot of information about its specifications and pricing. Now, a new report by AndroidHeadlines has leaked the pre-order and release dates, leaving fans eagerly anticipating its arrival.

Typically, Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 9a around the Google I/O event, which is usually held in May each year. However, this time around, the brand is expected to announce the 9a in March. The publication has learned from a source that Pixel 9a pre-orders will begin on March 19, likely for the US.

The report further states that Pixel 9a shipments will begin on March 26. In-store availability is set to begin on the same date. Recent reports have revealed that the 128 GB and 256 GB editions of the Pixel 9a will be priced at 499 and 599, respectively. These variants are expected to cost 679 and 809, respectively, in Canada. It may come in shades like Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony.

Reports have revealed that the Google Pixel 9a will feature a 6.285-inch OLED panel that offers an FHD+ resolution and up to 2,700 nits of peak brightness. The device will come preloaded with the stock edition of Android 15.

For photography, the Pixel 9a is expected to feature an OIS-enabled 48-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For selfies, the device may feature a Sony IMX712 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Pixel 9a is expected to feature the Tensor G4 chip, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. It is likely to draw power from a 5,100mAh battery with 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging support. Its other features include a Titan M2 security chip, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and an IP68-rated chassis.
