Google Pixel 9a appears in the wild

The search engine giant’s new Pixel 9a is the latest model in the Pixel a series that offers various improvements over its predecessor. In our previous report, it was revealed that the new smartphone from Google will be making its global debut on 19th March 2025, with its Indian release following a day later. But ahead of the official launch, the Pixel 9a surfaced on a hands on video, which was shared from Reinosa, Spain and featured on YouTuber Alexis Garza’s channel.

Apparently, he has already received the unit from one of his followers. Looking at the video, we can see the Pixel 9a from all angles, showcasing a flat design from the sides and rear. This makes its design language in line with the higher end flagship Pixel 9 series. Google’s latest Pixel can be seen in the Obsidian (Black) color option. But one of the notable aspects is the nearly flat rear thanks to a negligible bump on the camera, which is quite rare in the market now.

Just earlier this week, the Google Pixel 9a also had its promo marketing material and some official renders leaked. For those unaware, the new Pixel will be a compact smartphone with a 6.3-inch OLED panel on the front. Meanwhile, the rear is expected to pack a 48MP (Main) + 13MP (Ultra Wide) dual camera setup. This model could be equipped with the Tensor G4 chipset like the premium Pixel 9 series.
