According to reports, Redmi had initially planned to launch the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro on April 17 in China. However, recent reports suggest that the delay in launching the Turbo 4 Pro is linked to a tragic accident involving a Xiaomi SU7 vehicle, which occurred on March 29 in Tongling, Anhui province. The crash claimed the lives of three young women and has drawn significant media and public attention.

Xiaomi is cooperating fully with the ongoing police investigation but has not yet accessed the accident vehicle. The cause of the fire and whether the doors could be opened after the crash are still under review.
