While the Android 15-based One UI 7 update is still rolling out, Samsung is already deep into the development of One UI 8. The beta program will reportedly go live in the upcoming weeks, while the stable release is confirmed for this summer. Unfortunately, this upgrade will mark the end of the road of major updates for a lineup of Galaxy devices across different price tiers and form factors.
Below is a list of Samsung phones and tablets that will receive One UI 8 as their final major upgrade. Since One UI 8 will be based on Android 16, we can also say this is the OS version they will spend the rest of their life running on.

When will Samsung start rolling out One UI 8?
Even though One UI 7 is still new, thanks to months of desperate delays, Samsung users have already started anticipating its next iteration, One UI 8 — and that’s a reason for it. Google usually releases a new Android OS around October, but Android 16 is coming a lot sooner this year — in June 2025, leaving Samsung less breathing room to prepare for its next big release.
Samsung has also confirmed that One UI 8 will start rolling out this summer. That means anything from June to September. While the exact rollout date is still under wrap, it’s good to see Samsung committing to a timeline. As always, there will be a beta program, which will reportedly kick off in the coming days.
