Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Pad 2 will officially launch on June 5, 2025. Ahead of the release, the company has shared teaser images revealing the tablet’s design and key features. The Redmi Pad 2 will feature an 11-inch 2.5K IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Compared to the larger Redmi Pad Pro, it is positioned as a more compact and media-focused device.

Xiaomi is marketing it as a “binge buddy” and has included quad Dolby Atmos-certified speakers to support that use case. The tablet also offers 4G connectivity, powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset. It will be available in up to 8GB RAM configurations. Pricing and listings across Europe show the Wi-Fi-only model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage at €199, while the 4G version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at €299.

The display also offers 600-nit peak brightness. The tablet will ship in Mint Green and Black/Grey color options. Camera specs include an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It is backed by a 9,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging, though European units will not include a charger in the box.

In previous updates, Xiaomi confirmed the India launch with the tagline “Built For More”. The Amazon India listing highlights a lightweight form, extended battery life, and a display suited for both work and entertainment. Both Wi-Fi-only and 4G + Wi-Fi variants have received BIS certification in India.

An earlier unboxing video from Brazilian YouTube channel TukEmperial revealed that the tablet also supports Android 15 with HyperOS, Circle to Search, and includes a microSD slot and headphone jack. Benchmark tests show an AnTuTu score of 400,000, and the device performs well on games like Asphalt 9 and Call of Duty.
