Last month, a leak by tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that one of the OnePlus Ace 6 series phones will come equipped with a Snapdragon 8-series chip and a massive 7,800mAh battery. For those unfamiliar, the lineup is expected to include the Ace 6 and Ace 6 Pro, which are likely to launch in China before the end of this year. Now, the tipster is back with new details about one of the Ace 6 series phones.
OnePlus Ace 6 / 6 Pro key details leaked
There’s a possibility that the latest leak from DCS could apply to both the OnePlus Ace 6 and Ace 6 Pro, as the two models are expected to share several specifications.
To recall, the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro featured different chipsets, batteries, and camera setups, but most other specifications were identical. The company may adopt a similar approach with the Ace 6 and Ace 6 Pro. It is speculated that the Ace 6 could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the Ace 6 Pro may feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.
The new leak suggests that the Ace 6 / 6 Pro will feature a 6.83-inch flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8-series chip and pack a larger battery than its previous generation. It will feature a metal middle frame, but it is yet to be confirmed whether it will have an IP68 rating.
Like the Ace 5 series, the Ace 6 Pro may not release in markets outside of China. On the other hand, the Ace 6’s modified version may break cover as the OnePlus 15R in other markets.
