The Pixel 10 has been popping up a lot lately. It was recently spotted during an ad shoot, leaked in new colors, and now, reportedly locked in for a launch date.
According to AndroidHeadlines, Google is planning to unveil the Pixel 10 series at a Made by Google event on August 20th. That’s not earlier than last year, despite what some previous rumors suggested. If the leak holds, the phones will begin shipping just over a week later on August 28th.
Also, don’t be confused with reports or leaks claiming the Pixel 10 series will launch on August 13th, including one from Arsene Lupin (on X). In fact, AndroidHeadlines initially reported that date as well, but after checking in with additional sources, it now seems like the launch has been pushed back by a week.
The report claims that four Pixel 10 devices will debut at the event: the standard Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, a larger Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. There’s also a chance we’ll see the Pixel Watch 4 make an appearance alongside the phones.
Google isn’t changing much…visually
Visually, don’t expect a dramatic overhaul. The Pixel 10 series reportedly sticks close to the familiar design language of its predecessor. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are also expected to retain the same camera hardware as last year’s models. The base Pixel 9, on the other hand, might finally get a telephoto lens for optical zoom.

As for the display, the Pixel 10 lineup is expected to feature PWM Dimming and flicker reduction features to make the screen easier on the eyes.
We’ll likely hear more as the event gets closer, but for now, it looks like Google is keeping things familiar, at least on the surface.
