A new leak suggests that OnePlus is prepping a dedicated gaming tablet and gaming smartphone. While the company is known for catering to mobile gamers, this would be one of its first devices dedicated to gaming. If this report is true, OnePlus might be looking to enter the gaming tablet and smartphone space. So here’s everything we know at the moment.
OnePlus’s First Gaming Phone & Gaming Tablet Could Arrive with a 165Hz Screen
The Chinese brand is rumored to be working on a tablet for gaming. Known tipster Smart Pikachu claimed that OnePlus’s gaming tablet is in the works, along with a gaming smartphone. To recall, the flagship OnePlus 13 featured a 120Hz refresh rate, while the highest ever refresh rate was a 144Hz panel on the new Ace 5 Ultra model. Meanwhile, the latest OnePlus Pad 3 also offered a 144Hz refresh rate.

While these are already quite high, the dedicated gaming tablets and gaming smartphones will get reportedly an even higher 165Hz screen. Keep in mind that this is still just speculation at this point, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now. The OnePlus 13 and OnePlus Pad 3 came equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is one of the fastest processors that powers Android devices. It also offers great improvements in graphical performance.
In other words, these new devices could feature the same processor or the MediaTek’s latest and greatest Dimensity 9400+, like the Ace 5 Ultra. Entering the gaming tablet and gaming smartphone segment, OnePlus will likely compete with other established gaming brands like Lenovo with its Legion lineup and Nubia’s Red Magic.
