The Dimensity 9500’s Geekbench listing reveals that it has one ultra-core clocked at 3.23GHz (Travis), three performance cores at 3.03GHz (Alto), and four efficiency cores at 2.23GHz (Gelas). According to DCS, the D9500 will be the first chipset to introduce a full-core CPU layout based on the new X930 ultra-core architecture. For graphics, the chipset includes Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU.

Travis and Alto are said to be based on Arm’s new Cortex-X9 architecture with SME support, while Gelas is said to come from the next-gen A7 core family. This marks a shift away from the Cortex-X4 used in the Dimensity 9400. The chip is built on TSMC’s N3P 3nm process, aiming for a balance of raw power and power efficiency.

The GPU section reveals a new Immortalis-Drage architecture with improved ray tracing and efficiency, though the current GPU clock is capped at 1MHz, limiting its early benchmark score to 15,717. MediaTek is expected to finalize GPU performance next month. Reports have claimed that the new chip is powerful enough to breach 4 million mark on AnTuTu benchmarks.

According to reports, the Dimensity 9500 also supports up to 4x LPDDR5x RAM at 10,667Mbps and UFS 4.1 storage with a 4-lane interface. It packs 16MB of L3 cache and 10MB of system-level cache for improved multitasking and data throughput.

Dimensity 9500 is expected to be officially announced in September, with the Vivo X300 series and Oppo Find X9 series likely among the first smartphones to ship with the new chip.
