The upcoming Meizu 22 has now cleared all three major certifications required for a smartphone to go official in China. The latest one is the 3C certification, which surfaced today. As usual, the 3C listing hints at the device’s fast charging capabilities. At the same time, a new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key specifications of the device, including its battery size.

Meizu 22 3C certified, key specifications revealed

As seen above, the Meizu 22 with model numbers M582Q and M582V has received 3C certification in China. The listing reveals that the phone may ship with the UP2040L power adapter, which supports up to 80W charging.

According to the tipster, the Meizu 22 will feature a single-cell battery rated at 5,370mAh, with a typical capacity of around 5,500mAh. The device is expected to sport an OLED panel with symmetrical 1.22mm bezels on all four sides, achieved using LIPO technology, while maintaining a compact 71mm body width for comfortable single-handed use. The brand has already confirmed that the device will debut with a unique white front panel.

Official camera samples revealed earlier show that the Meizu 22 will feature a 24mm main lens with f/1.6 aperture, paired with a 72mm telephoto lens offering an f/2.4 aperture and an effective 3x optical zoom. On the performance side, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, though this has not been officially confirmed yet. A special version of the Meizu 22 is also expected to support UWB (Ultra-Wideband) connectivity. The device is expected to debut by the end of this month in August.

Meizu 22 Air in works

Other reports have revealed that while the lineup will not include the Meizu 22 Pro, it may include a new model, which is tentatively dubbed the Meizu 22 Air. Like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, it could be an ultra-thin phone with a large display. Accessories like the brand’s antibacterial magnetic protective case have reportedly entered production, hinting at a broader ecosystem approach for the Meizu 22 series.
