Xiaomi has unveiled an ultra-slim 5000mAh power bank designed for portability and daily use. Crowdfunding starts on August 25 at 10:00 AM for 139 yuan ($19). The release follows earlier Xiaomi models, including the 10,000mAh 45W version with a display, the 10,000mAh 67W variant with a built-in cable, and the 10,000mAh 33W magnetic variant with a kickstand.
Xiaomi Ultra-Slim Power Bank Specifications
The new power bank measures just 11.8mm in thickness and weighs about 110 grams. Its slim body makes it easy to slip into a pocket or small bag, while the textured finish improves grip. Xiaomi designed it with a minimalist look that matches the brand’s recent focus on compact and stylish accessories.
The device comes with a 5000mAh cobalt lithium cell. Its rated capacity is 3000mAh with an energy rating of 19.25Wh. Xiaomi claims it can retain more than 80 percent of its effective capacity after 300 full charge cycles. It supports 22.5W maximum fast charging when connected to Xiaomi smartphones through its built-in cable and allows 20W maximum input for faster recharging of the power bank itself.
Xiaomi integrated the charging cable directly into the body of the device. Users do not need to carry separate wires, and the cable also connects with a detachable strap. The strap has passed durability tests of more than 10,000 swings, which makes it practical for daily use and travel.
The compact design is reinforced with several safety measures. It features an NTC temperature sensor that checks the heat about 240 times every minute, ensuring consistent and stable operation. To improve heat management further, the device uses a large 3000mm² graphite copper foil structure that helps dissipate heat effectively while charging.
On top of that, the power bank comes with nine layers of safety protection, covering risks such as over-current, over-voltage, overheating, and short circuits. Xiaomi states that the device works with a wide range of smartphones and small electronics, including models from Huawei and Apple.
