Nubia is getting ready to unveil its next flagship, the Z80 Ultra, on October 22, and as per the teasers, camera is going to be one of the key selling points of this phone.

Just days before its debut, Nubia revealed the Z80 Ultra’s key hardware details. The phone is said to feature a custom 35 mm “Light and Shadow Master 990” sensor, engineered to capture finer detail and better dynamic range. It’s paired with an 18 mm ultrawide lens and a 15cm telephoto macro module, forming a flexible triple-camera setup meant to handle just about any shooting scenario.
Nubia is also leaning on AI-driven processing to boost image quality, and for photography enthusiasts, there’ll be an optional camera kit to take things even further. Nubia has already shared a few camera samples — and they look impressive.

The rest of the package is equally ambitious. The Z80 Ultra comes with a 6.85-inch X10 display running at a 144 Hz refresh rate, with 2,592 Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker and eye strain. Under the hood, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, backed by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for lightning-fast performance. Nubia has even borrowed the game engine from the RedMagic 11 Pro.
Battery life shouldn’t be an issue either. The phone packs a 7,200 mAh battery with 90 W wired and 80 W wireless fast charging.
While Nubia hasn’t shared pricing or global availability yet, those details are expected shortly after the October 22 launch. With a combination of serious camera hardware, cutting-edge internals, and gamer-friendly features, the Z80 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Android flagships of the year.
