As promised, Vivo has released the OriginOS 6 update for the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro in mid-November. The update is currently available as a trial version (another name for a beta version), though the stable release should also be around the corner.
The OriginOS 6 trial version for the Vivo X100 comes with the firmware version PD2309F_EX_16.2.7.5.W30, whereas the X100 Pro is tagged as PD2324F_EX_A_16.2.6.13.W30. This is one of the biggest upgrades to Vivo phones in recent years, and that also reflects in the package size, which measures nearly 4GB. It’s best to switch to a reliable Wi-Fi connection to download such massive update packages.
If you have a Vivo X100 or X100 Pro and want to install the OriginOS 6 trial version, navigate to Settings > About phone > System updates, tap the three dots icon, and select Trial version. You should see the OriginOS 6 update on your screen. Before downloading the update, ensure that your device has sufficient storage and that it has at least 50% battery before installing it. You can also back up important data beforehand for additional protection.
