Samsung is gearing up to refresh its popular M-series with the new Galaxy M47 5G, aimed squarely at budget-conscious buyers in India who want a modern look.

The company has already started building excitement by dropping teaser videos on X. From what we can see, the phone looks pretty premium, especially in that matte Red/Maroon finish on the back, paired with a black frame. There’s a pill-shaped camera island with matching red accents, and the triple rear camera setup sits in a slightly updated module compared to the M36 5G. Samsung is calling it the “Next Level Monster,” which suggests they’ve made some meaningful upgrades in performance, gaming, multitasking, and overall durability.

While the full specs are still under wraps, a Geekbench listing (for model SM-M476B) gives us a good peek inside. It looks like the M47 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, come with 8GB of RAM, and run Android 16. That should translate to smooth everyday use, decent multitasking, and respectable gaming for this price range.
Other leaks point to a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz flat AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera with OIS, and a 5,000–6,000mAh battery. Samsung is also likely to offer solid long-term software updates.
The Galaxy M47 5G will land on Amazon India and Samsung’s official website sometime soon. It’ll aim to go head-to-head with phones from iQOO, REDMI, and others in the crowded mid-range space. Samsung’s plan seems to be winning people over with a nice mix of style and reliable performance.
As more details drop in the coming days, it’ll be interesting to see how this one shapes up. If the final phone delivers on these promises, it could be a strong contender for anyone looking for value in the Indian market.
