OnePlus 16’s first teaser

At the same time, a warm-up poster of the OnePlus 16 is making the rounds on Chinese social media platforms. A closer look at the top half suggests that it could feature a circular camera module, replacing the square camera module introduced on the OnePlus 15. Before that, the OnePlus 13 featured a circular camera module. Readers should note that the authenticity of the teaser could not be confirmed.

What appears to be an AI-generated image based on the warm-up poster is also circulating on social media. It reveals a design that looks more similar to last year’s Realme GT 8 series. According to reports, the OnePlus 16 may go official in early October in China.
According to reports, the OnePlus 16 will feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, a 185Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It may pack a battery of around 9,000mAh capacity with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Under the hood, the OP16 may feature the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. Other expected features include Android 16-based ColorOS 17, an X-axis bionic vibration motor, symmetrical dual speakers, and IP68/IP69-rated dust and water resistance.
