Priced at Rs 1,22,990 (~$1,290) in India, the Asus Vivobook S16 (S3607AA-SH087WS) competes with premium productivity laptops from Lenovo, Dell, HP, and Acer, while inevitably drawing comparisons with Apple’s MacBook Air. After spending time with the laptop and running multiple benchmarks, here’s what the Vivobook S16 has to offer.
7Speakers, webcam, and battery life
The dual speakers deliver clear audio for video calls, YouTube, and casual entertainment. While bass remains limited, Dolby Atmos tuning creates a wider soundstage than expected.
The Full HD IR webcam produces noticeably sharper video than typical 720p webcams, while Windows Hello facial recognition unlocks the laptop quickly and reliably. Asus also includes a physical privacy shutter for added peace of mind.
Battery life is another strong point. The 70Wh battery comfortably lasted through a full workday of web browsing, document editing, streaming, and video calls during my testing. When it’s time to recharge, the bundled 68W USB-C charger powers up the laptop quickly, while USB-C charging also allows compatibility with supported third-party chargers and high-output power banks.
