Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to be the first Chinese flagship smartphone to come with Snapdragon 835 chipset. Reports hint that it will be announced in April. Three new sketches of the alleged Xiaomi Mi 6 have surfaced on Weibo to reveal its design.

The sketches suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 6 has thick bezels at the top and bottom and has slimmer ones on the left and right sides of the screen. A Home button can be seen below the display that probably houses a fingerprint sensor. The bottom side of the phone has a USB Type-C port and external speaker grills.

Rumors suggest that three variants of Xiaomi Mi 6 are in works. Two variants are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. However, the first variant has quad HD resolution supporting dual-edge curved OLED display, 6 GB of RAM, 256 GB native storage, and dual rear camera.

The second variant has quad HD flat OLED display, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB internal storage and dual rear camera. The third variant is rumored to be powered by MediaTek Helio X30 SoC and has 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB storage and dual rear camera.

Since the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are pegged to get all the initial stock of Snapdragon 835 chipset, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is rumored to get announced only after the release of Samsung’s upcoming flagship. Speculations have it that the Xiaomi Mi 6 get officially unveiled on April 16.  Analysts have revealed that the Mi 6 would be arriving with a costlier price tag than its predecessor.
