Xiaomi‘s Redmi brand made its entry into the smart monitor market in 2020 with the launch of the Redmi Display 1A. Since then, the company has gone on to launch a number of high-end displays, including gaming monitors but none in the same price category as the 1A. Looks like the company will soon release another affordable smart display.
A certification listing spotted on Certipedia shows that a Redmi display believed to be the Redmi Display 1A Pro has been certified for low blue light by TUV Rheinland. This means the device will feature a similar display as the 1A which filters out harmful blue light.
The entire specs of the Redmi Monitor 1A aren’t known, we expect the monitor to some with some improvement over its predecessor. The display may feature a 144Hz or even higher refresh rate. We also expect features such as AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync functionality as well.
Xiaomi may likely not alter the design of the Pro version markedly from the Redmi Display 1A. However, we expect a refreshed specs lineup. The pricing will likely be higher than that of the Display 1A which is presently listed on Xiaomi Mall for 700 Yuan. The Redmi Display 1A Pro may come in slightly higher.
