Samsung has been quick at offering Android 12 updates for its Galaxy A and M series models. A few weeks back, the Galaxy M31 received the Android 12 update in India. Now, the Samsung Galaxy M31s is getting the taste of the latest public Android version.

The Samsung Galaxy M31s’ Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update has the firmware version M317FXXU3DVD4 (via). The update is currently rolling out for the Galaxy M31s models in Russia. It brings a whole lot of new features and also has the March 2022 security patch. The update also brings some bug fixes and improvements.

Some of the notable features that the update carries are more of the Android 12 features. There’s the redesigned UI with the new Color Palette, improved Always-on-Display, thicker slider bars, new widget styling, and others.

It also has updated stock applications such as Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung Keyboard, and My Files.

One of the other notable features includes the privacy indicators for the mic and camera, where if an app is accessing the camera or microphone, you will see a green indicator on the top.

How to Update?

If you are a Galaxy M31s owner in Russia you will get an OTA update notification. You can also look for the update manually by heading to Settings > Software Update. If you do not see the update, no need to worry as it will reach your device soon.
