Furthermore, recent reports had revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will have a higher clock speed that the actual models, which means it will offer slightly better performance. And now, a tweet from RGcloudS claims that there will be two version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The AC variant will be produced using TSMC’s N4P process mode, meanwhile Samsung Foundry will be manufacturing the Version AB on its 4nm LPE process.
TSMC is the world’s largest contract chipmaker with Samsung Foundry is also a major player in the same field. Talking about the chips itself, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is set to feature a Cortex X3 Prime core at 3.2GHz and the Galaxy X3 core on the Galaxy S23 is rumored to have a 3.32GHz clock speed.
