Samsung continues to release the latest Android 13-based One UI 5 update to its devices. The latest device to receive the software is the Galaxy Tab A8, which was launched in 2022. The Android 13 update is being seeded to both the Wi-Fi and LTE models of the tablet in various regions. Let’s look at the details.
The Wi-Fi version of the tablet is receiving the update in Europe, while the LTE one is getting it in a bunch of countries, including India.
The Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab A8 gets the Android 13 update with the firmware version X200XXU1CVL5. Whereas, the LTE model is getting the software via firmware version X205XXU1CVL5.
The LTE Galaxy Tab A8 gets the One UI 5 in Europe with firmware number X205XXU1CVL6. It is being seeded in a number of countries across the Old Continent, including Romania, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, the UK, Hungary, Bulgaria, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Baltic and Nordic countries, Switzerland, Slovakia, Italy, France, and Portugal.
As usual, Samsung is releasing the update in a staged manner so it might take a few days to reach every unit. If you live in the above-mentioned regions, keep an eye out for an OTA notification. However, sometimes the notifications may not show up. In that case, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and install.
In related news, the Korean OEM is reportedly testing the One UI 5.1, the successor to One UI 5.0. Rumors suggest the new software could debut on the Galaxy S23 family, which is expected to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 1.
