Huawei has surprised consumers by unveiling the FreeBuds SE 3, ahead of its expected launch next year. The new earbuds bring significant upgrades in design, performance, and user experience at a cost-effective price point.

The FreeBuds SE 3 introduces a sleek, compact design with a leather-like textured charging case available in Streamer Gold and Interstellar Black. The earbuds themselves feature dual-tone finishes—glossy buds with matte handles in white or black with silver accents.
Weighing just 3.8 grams per earbud, the FreeBuds SE 3 is designed for comfort. Each earbud contains a 10mm dynamic driver, delivering a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz for clear and stable audio. Its IP54 rating ensures resistance to water splashes and dust.
Battery life is a standout feature, offering up to 42 hours of total use with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge provides 3 hours of playback, while a full charge powers 9 hours of continuous use. The earbuds house a 41mAh battery, while the case packs a 510mAh cell, requiring 60 minutes to fully charge the set.
Huawei has added physical buttons to the case for manual pairing, with automatic pairing available by simply opening the case. Enhanced touch sensors on the earbuds allow for intuitive controls like double-tapping to play or pause music and triple-tapping to skip tracks.
Equipped with Bluetooth 5.4, the FreeBuds SE 3 ensures stable connections and low-latency performance, catering to both casual users and gamers.

Priced at 199 yuan, the FreeBuds SE 3 is currently available at a pre-sale discount of 179 yuan (~$25).

The earbuds support 2.3 Mbps transmission, 48kHz/24-bit lossless audio, and feature an 11mm dynamic driver alongside a micro-planar tweeter.
