Mate 70 Series Outperforms Expectations
Industry analysts predict that the Mate 70 series is poised to surpass the 10 million unit mark, a testament to its immense popularity and strong market demand. Unlike the Mate 60, which faced severe supply constraints upon its release, the Mate 70 series has benefited from improved production capabilities, allowing Huawei to meet the overwhelming consumer interest.
Despite increased production, the Mate 70 series remains in high demand, with certain models being resold at significant premiums in the secondary market. Due to the ongoing supply constraints for the Mate 70 series, many consumers have turned to the Pura 70 series, propelling its total shipments past the 10 million mark.
Remarkably, Huawei emerged as the only brand capable of challenging Apple in Q3 2024. Although domestic competitors such as Honor, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Huawei itself secured spots in the top 10, their market shares remain significantly smaller compared to Apple‘s dominance. In the high-end segment, Huawei stands out as the sole contender, with the Huawei Pura 70 earning a coveted place on the list.
