The recently unveiled OnePlus 13 sports a revised design as compared to its predecessor. However, the design is not completely different from the OnePlus 11 series, which debuted in 2023. In a recent Weibo post, OnePlus industrial designer Lao Haoran revealed that the 2025 OnePlus phones will arrive with a new design. Additionally, tipster Digital Chat Station has mentioned details about the upcoming OnePlus devices that will sport a renewed design.
Upcoming OnePlus phones confirmed to arrive with a renewed design
According to Haoran, OnePlus is planning a significant design overhaul for its 2025 phone lineup. This includes new design languages for both the main OnePlus line and performance-focused phones. OnePlus is also developing new IoT products and accessories with fresh designs. Expect to see devices with unique textures and finishes, thanks to new materials and manufacturing processes. To showcase these design innovations, OnePlus will be launching a dedicated design website.
OnePlus Ace 5s, OnePlus 13 Mini series
As can be seen above, DCS has mentioned that upcoming 2025 OnePlus models will feature a redesigned look, with the Dimensity 9400/Dimensity 9350 and Snapdragon 8 Elite small-screen phones undergoing changes. He added that the Dimensity 9350 model will feature around a 7,000mAh battery and a flat OLED LTPS panel with 1.5K resolution support. For those who don’t know, the D9350 is believed to be an overclocked version of the existing Dimensity 9300+.
The D9350-powered OnePlus phone could be an Ace 5-series offering. It is unclear whether the tipster is speculating if there will be a dedicated D9400 variant or whether he is speculating whether the device will have the D9350 or D9400 chip. While these devices are said to have Ace-branding, there is no clarity about their exact monikers. Some reports have speculated that the D9350 variant could be called the Ace 5V. At the same time, there have been rumours about an Ace 5s series.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite small-screen phone mentioned in the leak refers to the OnePlus 13 Mini. Expected to launch in Q2 2025, the device is expected to arrive with a flat LTPO OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution, an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner, a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX906) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (3x periscope) camera setup, and wireless charging support. The new leak also states that it will pack a large battery, but unfortunately, the exact size is not known.
