Apple has announced the Apple Watch Series 11, introducing hypertension notifications, sleep score tracking, and support for 5G connectivity. The new model features a thinner design, longer battery life, and enhanced durability, aiming to serve as a more comprehensive health and fitness device.

Apple Watch Series 11 Specifications

The Series 11 can detect potential chronic high blood pressure by analyzing blood vessel response patterns over 30 days using its optical heart sensor. Apple trained this capability using machine learning on data from over 100,000 participants, and later validated it through a clinical study involving 2,000 users. The feature is expected to help identify over 1 million undiagnosed hypertension cases within its first year. It will roll out later this month in more than 150 countries, subject to regulatory approval.

Apple has introduced a new sleep score system that measures rest quality based on factors like sleep duration, stages, and bedtime consistency. The score is viewable directly on the watch, through Smart Stack widgets, and in the iPhone’s Health app for long-term trend tracking. Apple developed the algorithm using sleep recommendations from leading medical associations and analyzed over 5 million nights of sleep data to build it.

The Watch Series 11 now supports 5G. Apple redesigned the antenna system to improve signal strength, especially in areas with poor coverage. The device also supports fast charging, with a 15-minute charge delivering up to 8 hours of use. Total battery life reaches up to 24 hours in normal use and 38 hours in Low Power Mode.

The aluminum versions of the watch now use updated Ion-X glass, which offers twice the scratch resistance compared to the previous generation. Titanium variants continue to use sapphire crystal displays for enhanced durability. Both models feature an Always-On Retina LTPO OLED screen capable of reaching up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness.

The watch runs on the new S10 SiP with a 64-bit dual-core processor and 4-core Neural Engine. It includes watchOS 26, which adds a redesigned interface with Liquid Glass effects, new watch faces, and updated apps. The update also enables features like Live Translation in Messages, a wrist flick gesture, Workout Buddy with voice-based coaching, and Precision Finding for iPhone.
